Dan M. Shetler, 81, of 4196 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Monday, May 30, 2022.
He was born on May 3, 1941 in Holmes County to Mose M. and Amanda (Miller) Shetler and married Jemima J. Byler on April 2, 1964. He was a member of the Old Order Amish.
He is survived by his wife, Jemima of 58 years, 11 children, John (Esther) Shetler of Apple Creek, Amanda (Reuben) Miller of Warsaw, Sara (Roy deceased) Nisley of Apple Creek, Ella (Joe) Hostetler of Wooster, Mose (Katie) Shetler of Warsaw, Fannie (Sam) Hostetler of Fredericksburg, Jemima (Eli) Miller of Apple Creek, Lizzie (Daniel) Hostetler of the home, Lydia (William) Hostetler of Fredericksburg Emma (Melvin) Hostetler of Apple Creek and Barbara (Reuben) Miller of Fredericksburg; 88 grandchildren and 123 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, John (Miriam) Shetler of Fredericksburg, Andy Shetler of Holmesville and Mose Shetler of Fredericksburg; 3 sisters, Lizzie Ann Shetler and Mary Shetler of Fredericksburg and Fannie (Henry) Miller of Wooster and a sister-in-law, Clara Shetler of Fredericksburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Roy, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Levi and Enos and a sister-in-law, Emma Shetler.
Services will be Wednesday, June 1st at 9:00 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Levi Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in the Graber Road Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
