Dale Hagans Obituary

 

Dale Eugene Hagans, 86, of Seville, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 at Greenfield Estates Care Center in Akron after a period of declining health.

Dale was born Dec. 9, 1934 in Crawford Corners near Lodi to the late Arthur and Bertha (Knopf) Hagans and was a 1952 graduate of Seville High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 – 1956 and on May 6, 1961 married the former Daisy L. Hartzler who preceded him in death on March 24, 2015.  He had been a metal fabricator having worked at several places prior to RICO Manufacturing in Medina where he retired from.  Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting and family history but his greatest enjoyment was his grandkids.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Jennifer and Brian Hoskins of Seville and Daniel and Carol Hagans of Seville; his 4 grandchildren, Allison Hoskins, Brian Hoskins, Nickolas and his wife Jaclyn Hagans and Matthew Hagans; a soon expected great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Albrecht of Medina, Doris Hoge of Lodi and Jeanne Dague of Pearce, AZ; a sister-in-law, Louise Hagans of West Salem and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, brothers, Neil and Glen and sisters, Lucille Grim, Bernice Walkden and Arline Berger. 

A committal service and military honors for family will be held  at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4815 Munson St., NW, Canton, OH 44718. The family extends their sincere thanks to the Staff of Greenfield Estates and Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful care given to Dale over the past year.
