Crist Yoder Obituary

 

Crist S. Yoder, 74, of 6466 Township Road 327, Millersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg after a brief illness.

Crist was born Jan. 7, 1946 in Charm to the late Sam C. and Lizzie (Yoder) Yoder and married the love of his life the former Susie E. Troyer on Nov. 9, 1967.  He retired from Schlabach Builders and was a member of the Old Order Amish.  Crist had a true passion for nature, birds and animals, and he enjoyed his sheep.  He loved sunrises and sunsets and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Susie; daughters, Lizzie Yoder of Millersburg, Katie (David) Mast of Fredericksburg, Mandy (Willis) Byler of the home and Ruth Yoder of the home; 7 grandchildren, Christina, Irene, Atlee, Ervin, Ina, James and Suzy; a brother, Phineas (Barbara) Yoder of Millersburg; sisters, Mary (Noah) Troyer and Ruth Ann (Dan) Yoder both of Millersburg; brothers-in-law, Jacob Miller of Millersburg and Melvin (Ella) Nisley of Fresno; nieces and nephews including special niece, Ada Mae Chupp and dear family friends, Esther Byler, Martha Hershberger and Jim and Sue Burkholder.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Esther Miller and Betty Nisley.

Services will be Sunday, Nov. 8th at 9:30 a.m. at the Andy Miller Jr. residence, 6420 State Route 241, Millersburg with Bishop Joseph Miller Jr. officiating.  Burial will be in the Honey Run Cemetery.  Friends may call anytime after 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Miller residence.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
