Clement George Haselow, Jr., know to all as “Chip” of Polk, OH passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at UH Hospital in Ashland from complications from Covid-19.
Chip was born Nov. 1, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Clement Sr. and Ruth (Sturbaum) Haselow and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War having been on the USS Lawrence. He retired from RTA in Cleveland and was currently a bus driver for Mapleton Local Schools. Chip had made his home in the Lodi, West Salem and Polk area for the past 35 years and was always busy, restoring cars, remodeling his home or working outside. Chip was always helping others and he touched many lives. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed football, baseball, riding his motorcycle and helping his youngest son Nick out with his motocross races.
Surviving are his children, Joel (Emily) Haselow of Akron, Jared Copley of Wooster, Nick (Tiffany Workman) Haselow of Ashland and Erin Haselow of Ashland; a grandson, Rowan Lee Copley; brothers and sisters, Timothy (Barbara) Haselow, Michael Haselow, Susan Scalero, Ellen (David) Eckstein and Lisa (Pete) Toppinges and his former wife, Julie Fetzer Haselow.
