Carol Elaine Sherwin

Carol E. Sherwin, 82, of Creston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a brief period of declining health.

Carol was born March 17, 1938 in Wooster to Charles and Mary Jane (Elliston) Arnold and had made her home in Creston all of her life. She married Allen “Dick” Sherwin on March 20, 1954 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2006.  Carol worked for over 25 years for Hanzie Meats in Creston and retired from the Westfield Companies in 2010.  She enjoyed gardening, having dinner out with friends and playing the slots and Bingo.  She loved all the trips she made to West Virginia and she will be missed.

Surviving are her children, Steve (Joy) Sherwin of Burbank, Deb (Ted Kotowski) Shamp of Rittman and Michael Todd Sherwin of Creston; grandchildren, Brandon Houghton, Corey Zoss and Mark Shamp and a brother, John (Pat) Arnold of Wooster.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, Jane Culbertson, father, Charles Arnold and a brother, Richard Arnold.
