Carol J. (Beichler) Sabo

1934 - 2021

Carol J. Sabo.

There comes a time in all of our lives when each must turn the last page.  Carol Sabo is now at the end of her earthly story and begins the next one in heaven.  On Saturday, April 3, 2021 she was reunited with the one she fell in love with and still loves, Bob Sabo.  At this heavenly reuniting were her parents, Roy and Alta (Conkle) Beichler, siblings, Melzina, Gladys, Kathleen, Donna, Raymond, Dale and Kenneth as well as many friends that have also turned the page.

Born on August 7, 1934 in Creston to a beautiful rural setting, she joined her 9 siblings on a farm that offered much to do and much to see.  Graduating from Creston High School and then meeting her future husband, the couple married and settled in Lafayette to build a life together and raise a family.  Daughter Laurie followed by son Ron became her life which she so dearly loved.  Carol went on to help support the family with employment at Westfield Insurance from which she retired.  For many years she was a member of Waltz United Methodist Church where she played the piano on Sundays for the enjoyment of the congregation that she loved.

Left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Mike Piekarski, son, Ron Sabo; grandchildren, Robin Sabo and Renae and her husband Kyle Tietje; great-grandchildren, Trent and Lucy Emery and Macey Tietje; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Helen Beichler and Larry and Nancy Beichler and many nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Waltz United Methodist Church for providing spiritual guidance and friendship from the congregation and to St. Edward’s at Wadsworth for their care and compassion.

To honor her life, a service will be Wednesday, April 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Waltz United Methodist Church, 7465 Egypt Rd., Medina, OH 44256 with Pastor Les Buttolph officiating.  Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, masks and social distancing is requested.  Burial will be in the Waltz Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  Tributes may be shared at  Memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 W. 44th St., Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.

My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of precious Carol. I was privileged to get to know her during her time with us at the Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth. In her quiet way, she added her gentle spirit to the various resident gatherings. She graciously agreed to play the piano for some of our religious programs. She befriended many during her days with the independent living residents. She just left us much too soon. May she rest in peace, as she's held in the loving embrace of her God who she came to know, love and serve so very well.
With prayers and gratitude for her life shared with all of us,
Sr. Marilyn Ambrosic, OP

The best memory I have of Carol was when Bob bought her a new lawnmower.  It was a zero turn and the first time she was mo wing she ran over some saplings that Bob had just planted!  She got off the mower and said she would never mow grass with that mower again.  Bob said she never did get back on that mower.

Dear Laurie,Ron, and Family: I send my deepest sympathies to you as does my son Stephen. The last time I saw Carol was at my mother's funeral. She was there to give her wonderful support  with her quiet elegance as we talked.  My memories from my childhood recall when she and Bob were "dating"!!  And what a life they shared.  It was always so good to see them and Mom loved when they visited her in Parma.  But it was not often enough -- but just enough to appreciate the love they had for all of us.  That family love - the greatest legacy of all.   Much love to you all and hopes that we will get together after this pandemic time is past.   Lois and son Stephen
