WOOSTER ~ Buddy E. Davisson, 72, went to be with his Savior on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice. We celebrate his home-going as he is now healed and complete and at peace. He suffered for four and half years with a lung disease.
He was born on September 26, 1948 to Earl & Zelma (Deweese) Davisson at Minnora, West Virginia. He married Miriam Rugh on August 4, 1984 and they had 36 wonderful years together.
Buddy served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War. He worked for the J.M. Smucker Company for forty years.
He was a faithful member of Parkview Christian Church. He enjoyed reading, being outdoors, welding for the Amish, and cutting & splitting wood with his son. He entertained friends and family with many jokes and stories. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family, especially taking his granddaughter Kaia for rides on the lawn tractor and listening to her happy laughter. She was a delightful joy in his life. And she loved her “Baba”.
Buddy lived his faith in his life as husband, father, grandfather and servant to friends, neighbors, and his church. He was a humble and caring man.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Miriam, their son Jon and his wife Cynthia Davisson and their daughter Kaia, of Wooster; a daughter and son-in-law Helen and Tracy Hicks of Smithville; and a brother Glendon (Alicia) Davisson of Minnora, WV.
His brothers Neal Davisson and Jim Davisson, and sisters Darie Stutler, Marie Walker, an infant sister, and his parents died previously.
We want to thank the special people at LifeCare Hospice for their compassionate and endless care of Buddy.
There will be no calling hours or services. Buddy will be laid to rest at the Minnora Cemetery in West Virginia at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster 44691, or to The Parkview Christian Church, 1912 Burbank Road, Wooster 44691.
