Betty Jean Mayberry Coffman, 79, of Shreve, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Betty was born in Holmes County on March 11, 1942 to Ellsworth and Goldie (Roberts) Weahry and married Carl Mayberry who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2000. She later married Charles Coffman and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2016. Betty was a member of Fredericksburg Church of Christ and had been an area resident all of her life.
Surviving are her children, Nellie White and Goldie Frye both of Athens and Frank Mayberry of Wooster; grandchildren, Crystal Frye, Teri Snyder, Billy Frye, Brian Frye, Shiann Frye, Elizabeth Frye, Daniel Stoneburner, Richard, White, Johnathan White, Michael White, Bryan White, Michelle Mayberry, Frank Mayberry Jr. and Joshua McKee; several great-grandchildren and sisters, Marian Young of Wooster and Mary Ann Duncan of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, sisters, Lucille Miller, Anna Mae Dunken, Elsie Schrimsher and Carol Anderson and a brother, James Weahry.
Memorial services will be Saturday, Nov. 20th at 3:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Josh Ware officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 until time of services. Contributions may be made in care of the funeral home.
