Barbara Eufaula (Casteele) Riding

Barbara E. Riding, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 surrounded by her children at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.

Barb was born Dec. 25, 1956 in Wadsworth to the late Charley and Hester (Hale) Casteele and was a graduate of Wadsworth High School.  She had worked at the Mill Restaurant at Buehler’s in Wadsworth having previously worked at Nabisco Brands and Rizzi’s in Wadsworth.  Barb loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids and being in  contact with her sisters.  She enjoyed shopping and cooking and is remembered for always helping others.

Surviving are her children, Michael (Holly) Riding of Rittman and Angel Leighty of Wooster; her 4 grandchildren, Trevor and Jordan Leighty and Gabby and Mia Riding; brother, Michael Hale of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Sharon (Ron) Wallace of Urbana, Beverly (Paul) Fraley of Mechanicsburg, Beth (Jim) McComas of Johnson City, TN, Denise Daniels of Rittman and Venita (Brian) Wolford of Wytheville,  VA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Keith Casteele, a sister Brenda Bollinger, a brother-in-law, Scott Daniels and three nephews, Matt, David and Timmy.

Services will be Saturday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston with Rev. James McComas officiating.  Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 to assist with final expenses.
