Anthony Peter “Tony” Rodak, 60, of West Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Tony was born in Elyria on Dec. 26, 1961 and was the son of Peter and Helen (Kuckarek) Rodak. He graduated from Keystone High School and later from Electronic Technical Institute in Cleveland. Tony was a self-employed programmer having owned and operated S&R Equipment. On Aug. 14, 1982 he married Cheryl Ann McAtee and they had made their home in the Wooster and West Salem area for the past 32 years. He was a member of Compassion Church in Ashland and was the Past President of Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities for Ida Sue School. Tony loved arrowhead hunting, flower gardening, caring for the birds and working jigsaw puzzles. He loved the Lord and he has received his ultimate healing.
Surviving is his wife, Cheryl; his three children, Joshua Rodak of West Salem, Jessica and her husband JP Andrew of Maricopa, AZ and Joey Rodak of West Salem; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Tom and Margie Rodak of McCormick, SC, Mike and Barb Rodak of LaGrange, Sally and Dan Napoliell of Peoria, AZ, Carrie and John Fritz of Elyria and Jeannie Vidmar of Brunswick and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Travis McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in the Congress Cemetery.
