Wilma Jean Tackett, 82, of Rittman, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4,2025, at Smithville-Western Care Center.

Wilma was born on Nov. 23, 1942, in Camp Creek, WV to Ezra and Georgia Mae (Vanhoose) Russell and was a 1963 graduate of Rittman High School.  On June 23, 1965, she married Clennon Tackett and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2022.  Wilma had made her home in Rittman most of her life and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Diane Tackett of Rittman; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Barry LeJeune of Williamsburg, VA; 6 grandchildren, Luke and his wife Clara LeJeune, Beau LeJeune, Isabelle LeJeune, Olivia LeJeune, Katelyn Tackett and Seth Tackett; brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Nancy Russell of Rittman and 2 nephews and a niece, Dennis Russell, Curtis Russell and Shelly Russell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clennon, her parents and a brother, Dennis Ray.

Services will be Friday, July 11th at 11:30 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Rittman Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
