Willis P. Sax

Willis P. Sax, 81, of Lodi, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Akron General Medical Center after a period of declining health.

He was born Oct. 18, 1936 in Akron to Karl and Millie (Rock) Sax and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 – 1958. On Aug. 22, 1970 he married the former Mary Wheaton who survives and they had made their home in Lodi for the past 45 years. He retired from USF Holland in Akron and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary; children, Sue Kelly of Wadsworth, Tamie Sax of Rittman, Scott (Bunnie) Sax of Lodi and Kristen Sax of Lodi; grandchildren, Tiffany, Taylor, Cody, Scott, Justin and Zoe; great-grandchildren, Graham, Lucas and Scarlett; nieces and nephews and an adopted daughter, Angela Kinney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Harris.

Services will be Saturday, March 31stat 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
