William Lee Hunt Sr.

William Lee Hunt Sr., 82, of Sterling, passed away at home on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 after a brief illness.

Lee was born Nov. 18, 1938 in Tariff, WV to Shirley R. and Sibyl G. (Mollohan) Hunt and was a graduate of Spencer High School in Spencer, WV.  On Feb. 4, 1988 he married the former Donna Childers and she survives.  Lee retired from Seville Bronze in 2001 and had made his home in the Sterling area for over fifty years.  He enjoyed tinkering and was a great mechanic and machinist.  He will be remembered for always helping his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Donna of 33 years; his children, James Leon (Tina) Hunt of Wooster, Florence Louise Aber of North Carolina; Rena Lee (Ron) Spoonamore of Sterling and William Lee (Sarah) Hunt Jr. of Wooster; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lovell Hunt of Ripley, WV., a sister, June Ferguson of South Point, OH and nieces and nephews including nephew, Donald Wayne (Tammy) Hunt who Lee raised as a son.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brandon.

Friends may call Saturday, Feb. 20th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Pastor Mike Lycans will hold a brief remembrance service at 4:00 p.m.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
