William Harold Fairchild

January 30, 1931 — March 16, 2017

William Harold Fairchild, 86, passed from this life into eternity on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home in Rittman. Bill was born Jan. 30, 1931 in White Lake, Wisconsin and was the son of the late William Goble and Francis (Swim) Fairchild. He grew up learning the values of family and hard work and brought those values into his marriage to Milly Hall on October 15, 1954. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 – 1953 and retired from U.S. Chemical and Plastics where he was a purchasing agent. He was a member of the Augusta Christian Church. Words cannot express how much he will be missed! Surviving are his wife, Milly of 62 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Peggy Fairchild of Arlington, TX, Tim and Brenda Fairchild of Rittman, Steve Fairchild of Creston, Phil and Marie Fairchild of Rittman and Jim Fairchild of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Kimberly, Hillary, Stephanie, Kayla, Philip, Candace, Bethany, Starr, Michael and Whalid; great-grandchildren, Joy, Percy, Leslieanna and Liam. Also surviving are a brother, Lloyd of Suring, Wisc. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, three brothers, a child unnamed, a grandchild unnamed and a great-grandson, Archer Storm. A celebration of Bill’s life will be Friday, March 24th at 11:30 a.m. at Rittman Christian Church, 50 N. Main St., Rittman. Bill will be interred at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
