William Hillis Croft

William Hillis Croft, 79, of Lodi, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Medina Hospital after a time of failing health.

Bill was born on July 20, 1946, in Charleston, WV to Hillis “Joe” and Miriam (Miller) Croft and was a 1965 graduate of Cloverleaf High School. He served in the U.S. Army from Aug. 6, 1965 – Aug. 5, 1968, having served in Germany. Bill worked in pipeline construction and was a member of Operating Engineers Local 18. He was a member of Lodi American Legion Post 523 and AMVETS Post 96 in Ashland.

Surviving are his sister, Patricia and her husband Barry Graham of Lodi; brother, James “JC” and his wife Mary Croft of Lodi and nephews and niece, Michael, Melissa, Robert, Gregory and Joseph., as well as numerous great and great, great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Gary Dean.

Bill will be buried with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Thursday, June 25th at 10:45 a.m.
