William David Byler

January 30, 1963 — February 23, 2020

William David Byler, 57 of Millersburg went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020 at Wooster Community Hospital surrounded by family.

He was born Jan. 30, 1963 in Cleveland to Alvin D. and Anna Lea (Henley)Byler and was preceded in death by his father, Alvin in 2017. On April 7, 1983 he married Lizzie E. Shetler and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife Lizzie, his mother, Anna Byler of Fredericksburg, six children, Malinda Sue (Daniel Jr.) Stauffer of Wooster, LeAnna W. (Russel) Kandel of Georgia, James W. (Barbara) Byler of Wooster, Stephen Ray (Amber) Byler of Orrville, Anthony William (Lindsay) Byler of Florida and Adam Richard Byler of Fredericksburg; 19 grandchildren and an honorary granddaughter, Anna.  He was the oldest of four sons and is survived by brothers, Richard A. (Danielle) Byler of Holmesville, Matthew Byler of Fredericksburg and Joshua E. (Erin) Byler of Ashland.

David will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

Friends may call Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Fairlawn Mennonite Church, 8520 Emerson Rd., Apple Creek with Pastor John Baich officiating.  It was David's wishes to be buried at sunset.  Graveside services will be Wednesday evening at the Byler Family Cemetery near Holmesville.
