Willet Wallace Ball

Willet Wallace Ball, 71, of Rittman, went to his eternal home in Heaven on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 with loved ones surrounding him.

Willet was born on Sept. 3, 1952 in Boone County, WV to French and Melba (Baisden) Ball.  After his father passed when he was 5, his mother married Raymond Myers who raised him.  Willet retired from Orrville Products and later from Mirk Equipment and had made his home in Rittman.  He enjoyed hunting, joking and picking at family and friends and spending time with his family.  He loved his granddaughters and  his baby sister, Joann who he was always concerned about.  Willit will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his loving companion, Carol Garens who he shared the past 22 years with; children, Monica (Dale) Rokovitz, Aaron Garens and Joseph Stevens; his granddaughters, Abigale, Olena and Lillian; his sister, Joann Myers; in-law, Roger Baker and Linda Ball Pittman and nieces and nephews including, Angel and her husband Mike Sollars who cared for Willet the past two month in their home.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father, brothers, Larry, Paul and infant brother, Roger Dale and sisters, Kay Baker and Loretta “Blondie” Thompson.

Friends may call Saturday, Dec. 9th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Rev. Mike Sollars will conduct services at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with Willet’s final expenses.

The family extends their deepest appreciation to LifeCare Hospice as well as to Angel, Mike and Linda for the wonderful care given to Willet in his final days.
