Wilbur Dale Tish

Wilbur Dale Tish, 87, of Wooster passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023.

He was born in Coshocton County on May 29, 1936 to the late Russell and Cora Blanche (Warner) Tish.  He married Geraldine Wolboldt in 1959 and she preceded him in death in 1961.  On April 18, 1964 Dale married Martha Singer and they celebrated nearly 60 years together.  He retired from Gerstenslager’s in Wooster after 42 years of service and enjoyed going to car shows and car races.

Surviving is his wife, Martha; children, Wanda Robinson, Darlene Tish, Donna (Randy) Ullom, Dee Dee (Terry) Burgess, David Tish and Daniel Tish all of Wooster and Leslie Culbertson of Stuart, FL; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter.  Also surviving are his twin brother, Lewis Gale Tish; brother, Thurman (Ann) Tish, and sister, Karen Singer.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents, brothers, Cletus Bickel and infant Clyde Tish and a sister, Velma Klingler.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 2nd from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with services following a 2:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
