Wanda Blanche Jacobs

Wanda B. Jacobs, 83, of Wadsworth, formerly of Creston, died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at Hospice of Medina County. Wanda was born Sept. 3, 1933 in Sharon Township to the late Paul E. and Mary L. (Young) Billman and graduated from Wadsworth High School. On Sept. 22, 1951 she married Arlo P. Jacobs and he preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2008. Wanda had worked at Swagler’s Dry Cleaners in Seville and had done sewing and alteration in her home as well child care. She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been 4-H advisor and active in the Medina County Fair. She was always faithful to her farm family heritage. Surviving are her children, Richard Jacobs of Wadsworth, Mary (Bobby) Spears of Taos, NM and Bonnie Jacobs of Albuquerque, NM; 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Rachel, Sarah and Scott; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, George and Milo and a sister Pauline. Private family service will be held with interment of her cremains at Seville Mound Hill Cemetery.
