Wanda Mae (Coen) Halpin

Wanda Mae Halpin, 78, of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 after a five year illness with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Wanda was born June 26, 1942 in Charleston, WV to the late Lester “Buss” and Emile (Conley) Coen and was a 1960 graduate of Norwayne High School.  She married Edward Winkler on Nov. 16, 1962 and he died unexpectedly  on May 2, 1966.  She later married Patrick Halpin on Aug. 18, 1972 and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2005.  Wanda worked for 30 years at Westfield Companies having retired in 1997 and then worked for six years at Pike Station Restaurant.  From 2008 until earlier this year, she worked at Ohio Station Outlets.  Wanda loved to serve others and organize any situation.  She enjoyed working puzzles, playing computer games and her grandkids.  She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Brenda Winkler and Scott and Wendy Winkler of Creston; grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Winkler, Sarah Winkler, Tim Winkler and Lydia (Ed) Reichenbacher; a great-grandchild, Oaklyn Reichenbacher, step-sons, Shawn Halpin of California and Scott (Kristen) Halpin of Wooster; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Halpin, Bradac Halpin and Elissa Halpin; special people in her life, Tim, Jessica and Sage Pagniano and Josiah Power and nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Winkler and Pat Halpin; her parents, sisters, Eva Clevidence and Sandy Flickinger and a step-grandson, Andrew Halpin.
