Obituary:

Walter E. Weaver, 73, of Fredericksburg, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2016 surrounded by his family at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a lengthy illness. Walter was born July 15, 1942 in Wooster to the late James and Ruth Hageman Weaver and served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 – 1965. On May 16, 1965 he married Winnie “Punky” Caflisch and she preceded him in death on June 3, 2009. He retired from Nickles Bakery in 1997 after 17 years and had previously worked at B & F Transport. Walter had made his home in Fredericksburg most of his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings. Surviving are his children, Rhonda (Roger) Miller of Jeromesville, Kurt (Jenny) Weaver of Wooster and Adam Weaver of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Kimberly (Chris) Frazier, Kayla (Patrick) Jones, Chad Mullins, Corey Mullins, Bryce (Lindsey) Weaver, Rhen Weaver, Kyle Weaver, Isabella Weaver, Jenessa Miller and Cortney Miller; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Jesse Frazier; brothers Jim Weaver of Texas and Bob (Christie) Weaver of Fredericksburg; a sister-in-law, Mary Helen Weaver of Ormond Beach, FL and his father-in-law, Rich Carr of Englewood, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Dick Weaver; sisters, Donna and Dora and his mother-in-law, Winnie Carr. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Jeremy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
