Virgil Ray Truman Sr.

Virgil Ray Truman Sr., 77, of Shreve, passed away on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at his home.

Virgil was born on Jan. 23, 1944 in Clay County, WV to the late Ray and Dulcie (Rogers) Truman and was a graduate of Clay County High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 – 1967, having served in France.  Virgil retired from Regal Ware in Wooster and had been an area resident since 1968.  He enjoyed collecting old coins, hunting, woodworking and working on old cars.  He loved the Cleveland Browns and he will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his children, Jay Truman of Canton, Randy (Laurie) Truman of Shreve and Ashley (Daniel) Krebs of Wooster; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and two sisters and a brother, Phyllis Legg, Ella Me Markel and Jerry Truman all off Clay, WV.
