Tyler Benjamin Beun, 25, of Montpelier, Ohio died Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Archbold as a result of a work-related accident.
Tyler was born on June 27, 2000, in Akron to Christopher and Stacey (Jaquet) Beun and was a 2019 graduated of Smithville High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center where he was in the Truck Mechanics Program. He furthered his education at the University of Northwestern where he earned his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics. He had been working at Black Swamp Equipment in Archbold and was the previous co-owner of BEX2 mobile diesel mechanics.
Tyler enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands that were usually dirty or greasy. He loved fishing, hunting, “wrenchin”, working on trucks and tinkering. His greatest times were spent with his family and friends who will miss him greatly.
Surviving are his girlfriend, Teaira Athy and daughter, MckynLee; his parents, Chris and Stacey Beun of Creston; grandparents, Dale and Marilyn Jaquet of Wooster and Hubrecht Beun Jr. and his wife, Anita of Dover and great-grandmother, Johanna Beun of Orrville.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Teddi Beun and his uncle, Craig Jaquet.
Services will be Monday, April 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, Smithville with Pastor Seth Miller and his Uncle Henry Beun officiating. Burial will following the service and be in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston and from 10: 00 -10:45 a.m. at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund for Tyler’s sweet girl, MckynLee in care of Chris and Stacey Beun, 2003 Pleasant Home Rd., Creston, OH 44217.
