"Together Again"

Virginia Garnett Davis, 85, of Creston, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Burbank surrounded by her family. Virginia was born Feb. 16, 1931 in Nicut, W.Va. to the late William Rufus and Dora Maysel (McCumbers) King and married Charles C. Davis on April 14, 1949. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2013. She attended Crossroads Assembly of God Church in Creston and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music, attending yard sales, playing cards and dominoes and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children, Sandra Davis of Creston, Robert (Roberta) Davis of Rittman, Helen and Mark Uhler of Creston and Jennifer and Michael Brumfield of Burbank; grandchildren, Bobby (Amy) Davis, Jimmy Davis, Dustin (Melody) Uhler, Kristin (Jason) Flory, Cera Brumfield, Courtney Brumfield, Corey Brumfield, Clayton Brumfield, Chelise Brumfield, Cassie Brumfield, CJ Brumfield and Carston Brumfield; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Wilma Turner of Wooster, Stanley (Doris) King of Kentucky, Wanda (John) Morgan of Sterling, Louise (Bruce) Knotts and David (Betty) King both of West Virginia and nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann, brother, Paul King and sisters, Marla King, Bernice Arnold, Lucille King and Judy Memmer. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Assembly of God Church, 10220 Wooster Pike, Creston with Pastor Mike Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
