Terry Lee Rickel

Terry L. Rickel, 76, of Burbank, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, after a time of declining health.

Terry was born in Burbank on Sept. 5, 1949, to Aaron J. and Marjorie Louise (Warrick) Rickel and was a 1968 graduate of Norwayne High School as well as a graduate of Ohio State University. He had taught several years at Cloverleaf Schools and retired from ArtiFlex in Wooster. Terry was a member of the NRA and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and the Buckeyes. Terry had made his home in Burbank most of his life.

Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Roger Messmore of Wooster; niece Lisa and her husband Dan Wise; nephew, Brad and his wife Denise Messmore; great-nieces and nephews, Anastasha Topovski-Estep, Natasha Messmore, Isabella Messmore, Cash Wise and Grayson Wise and great great-niece, Alexa Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services were held at Burbank Cemetery. Murray Funeral Home in Creston handled arrangements.
