Susan A. (Burkholder) Miller

Susan A. Miller, 98, of 7401 E. Moreland Rd., Fredericksburg, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022 after a brief illness.

She was born on April 16, 1923 near Berlin in Holmes County to the late Andy and Mattie (Beachy) Burkholder.  On Nov. 13, 1947 she married Sandord E. Miller and he preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2014.  She was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Surviving are her daughter, Ada Miller of the Home; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Connie Miller of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Allen and Ruth Miller of Fredericksburg, Ellen and Jay Miller of Elkhart, IN and Ron and Penny Miller of Baltic; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Haley, Mackenzie, Cody, Deborah, Melissa, Kari, Hannah, Nathan and Dante; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Dala Burkholder of Holmesville; a sister-in-law, Sarah Burkholder of Mount Hope and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Ruth Miller; son, Alvin Miller, great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Miller; 7 sisters, Mary, Lovina, Clara, Ella, Katie and Emma and 2 brothers, Eli and Henry.

Services will be Tuesday, Feb. 1st at 9:00 a.m. at the Allen A. Miller residence, 7677 East Moreland Rd., Fredericksburg with Bishop Andy E. Troyer officiating.  Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne Co.  Friends may call anytime aft 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Allen Miller residence. Her son, Andy, who died Friday, Jan. 28th will be at the residence for view on Monday after 1:00 p.m.   Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
