Steven Ray "Steve" Wellman

Steven Ray Wellman, 57, of Apple Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 after an extended illness.

Steve was born on Jan. 23, 1967 in Wooster to Clarence and Carolyn (Murphy) Wellman and grew up in Burbank.  He graduated from Norwayne High School in 1985 where he loved wrestling and at one time held the record for the fastest pin.

Steve is survived by his mother, Carolyn; siblings, Mike (Denise) Wellman and Nancy (Eric) Swartzentruber; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Kelly Rooker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence and siblings, Christine and Douglas.

There will be no calling hours.  A private family graveside services is planned at Burbank Cemetery.  Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
