Stan Gregory Stanley

Stan Gregory Stanley, 67, of Wooster, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Wayne County Care Center.

Stan was born on Aug. 16, 1958, in Wooster to Elmer and Martha (Caudill) Stanley and graduated from Wooster High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Sept. 24, 1980 – May 1, 1986 and from 1988 – 2007 he served on the Miami Florida Police Department where he was the Captain of the Bicycle Patrol. Stan was a member of Fraternal Order of Police and he enjoyed shooting, fishing and roller skating

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Valaria of Sterling, VA; son, Ryan of Florida; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Patricia and her husband John Reynolds and Janet and her husband Mark Gatten and a brother, James Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Stanley.

Graveside services will be Monday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m. at Burbank Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the 555 Honors Detachment. There will be no calling hours.
