Sovilla B. Yoder

Sovilla B. Yoder, 86, of Fredericksburg, passed away December 18, 2023, after a period of declining health at the home of her caretakers, David J. and Clara Miller.

She was born near Fredericksburg on August 15, 1937, to the late Ben S. and Ella (Burkholder) Yoder. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are her sisters, Gertie (Roman) Hershberger and Edna (Junior) Hershberger both of Baltic; a brother-in-law, Alfred Schlabach of Fredericksburg; a cousin and best friend, Esther (Lee) Kurtzman and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dan B. Yoder;  3 sisters, Sarah Byler, Mattie Schlabach and Mary B. Yoder; a brother-in-law, Rudy Byler and sister-in-law, Mattie Yoder.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 20th at 9:00 a.m. at her former residence at 7804 Salt Creek Road, Fredericksburg with Bishop Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime Tuesday at the family residence on Salt Creek Road.  The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and caretakers, David and Clara Miller for their kind and compassionate care.
