Sherryl June “Sherry” Gallion, 74, of Doylestown, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Sherry was born on Oct. 20, 1950 in Sutton, WV and married the love of her life, Raymond Arthur “Ray” Gallion on Oct. 8, 1975. She had been a Deputy Sheriff in Clermont County and was a former member of the Wayne County F.O.P. 94. Sherry was a member of Crown Hill Mennonite Church, Ashland Chapter #92 Order of Easter Star and a past member of the Doylestown American Legion Auxiliary Post 407.
Surviving is her husband, Ray; sons, Wayne and his wife Chrissy Gallion of Massillon, Ted and his wife Dawn Pounders of Oregon and Larry Gallion of Leavittsburg; grandchildren Allison and Zachary Gallion and Dustin and Pressley Pounders and a great-grandson with another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Garnett (Clifton) Kiefer and her step-father, Richard Harris who raised her and her father, Walter Crites.
Services will be Wednesday, March 12th at 12:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, 9693 Benner Rd., Rittman, OH with Pastors Thomas Dunn and Dan Hooley officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Reserve Masonic Home, 4931 Nettleton Rd., Medina, OH 44256 who took wonderful care of Sherry. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
