Shelley Ann Tompkins

Shelley Ann Tompkins, 59, of Wooster, passed away at home on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, after a period of failing health.

Shelley was born on Oct. 28, 1966, in Lodi to Louis Vay and Gladys Mae (Hall) Hooser and was a member of the Norwayne Class of 1985. She also attended the Wayne County Schools Career Center. Shelly had worked at the Photo Lab at Walmart in Wooster for many years and had enjoyed flower gardening and cooking.

Surviving are her two children, Jordan Tompkins and Lyndsey Tompkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Delford Morris, Judy and Sam Chakey, Brenda and Jerry Hackworth and Becky Olp and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Roberta Renner and a brother, Robert Hooser.

Graveside services will be Thursday, Aug. 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Burbank Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Hackworth officiating. There will be no calling hours. Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
