Sheila Kaye (Reed) Valentine

Sheila Kaye Valentine, 79, of Sterling, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 after a extended illness.

Sheila was born on June 11, 1946 in Wooster to the late Kenneth and Opal (Condry) Reed and was a 1964 graduate of Norwayne High School. On June 11, 1965, she married Dennis W. Valentine, and they shared 56 years together until his passing on November 25, 2021. Sheila had been a bus driver for North Central Schools, had worked as a nursing home aid at Westview Manor, and had helped at the family restaurants. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers, watching hummingbirds, sewing, cake decorating, hosting tupperware parties, and spending time with her family.

Sheila is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Brian Followay of Creston; son, Terry Valentine of Sterling; grandsons Derryck Hartong of Sterling and Cody Hartong of Creston; brothers Burt Reed of Burbank, Robert “Bob” (Judy) Reed of Burbank, and Kenneth (Martha) Reed of Barberton; sisters Virginia Crow of Lexington and Sharon Bauman of Jeromesville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dennis.
