Sharon Jane Snyder

Sharon Jane Snyder, 77, of Seville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Grace House in Akron after brief illness.

Sharon was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Feb. 2, 1949, and was the daughter of James and Rita Ritchie. She graduated from Wadsworth High School and on Sept. 9, 1973, married Larry D. Snyder. Larry preceded her in death on March 24, 2015. Sharon had worked at Magnolia Care Center in Wadsworth for over 20 years until retiring. Sharon enjoyed reading and she loved her cat Bella and her grand dog, Olive.

Surviving is her daughter, Melissa Snyder of Creston; her brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Susan Ritchie of Pittsburgh, PA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents and sisters Susan Brooks and Deborah Spoerndle.

At Sharon’s request, a private graveside services will be held at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
