Sarah A. Mast

Sarah A. Mast, 73, of 5650 Township Road 332, Millersburg, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016 at Altman Hospital in Canton following a short illness. Sarah was born Nov. 5, 1942 near Kidron to Andrew D. and Mary (Wengerd) Mast. She had special needs from birth and attended Lynn Hope Industries and had resided at the Midwest Group Home in Millersburg having previously lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Aden and Ada Burkholder for many years. Sarah attended Mennonite Christian Assembly in Fredericksburg. Surviving are her sisters, Emma (Ray) Schlabach of Guthrie, KY and Mary (Ervin) Miller of Apple Creek; brothers, Abe (Laura) Mast of Charm and Dan (Martha) Mast of Millersburg; sister-in-aw, Olive Mast of Greenwood, DE, brother-in-law, Aden Burkholder of Millersburg and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Anna (Schwartz) Mast, a brother, Roy Mast; sisters, Lovina Taylor and Ada Burkholder and sister-in-law, Fannie Mast. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 24th at 10:30 a.m. at Mennonite Christian Assembly in Fredericksburg. Burial will be in the Erb Cemetery, East Union Township near Apple Creek. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Mennonite Christian Assembly and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
