Sarah Marie Adkins, 67, of Shreve, died peacefully at her home on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.
Sarah was born Feb. 6, 1950 in Lodi to the late Cleveland and Freda (Cehrs) Decker and had attended Wadsworth High School. Sarah had been a nurses aide at Medina Care Center and Smithville Western Care Center and had made her home in Shreve for the past 8 years. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors and spending time with family. Sarah loved to collect frogs, butterflies and owls and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her daughters, Shelly (Dwayne) Hosmer of Wooster, Sheila Gorman of Norton, Glory (Timothy Jr.) Lunsford of Moneta, VA and Gayle Hickling of Shreve; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and sisters, Linda (George) Gable of Casper, WY, Carolyn Decker of Shreve, Cathy (Bill) Steele of Creston and Judy Decker of Cardington and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with her cousins, Rev. Mike Decker officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
