Sandra Louise (Morrison) Fitzpatrick, age 83, of Wooster passed away in her home on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from complications of cancer.
Sandra was born in Lodi, OH on February 13, 1941 to Edward Morrison and Dorothy (McClymonds) Morrison. She was baptized at Westwood Baptist by Rev. Morton. She graduated from Norwayne High School in 1959. She worked at Rubbermaid, WM Annat’s Co., and then transitioned into the food service industry with Hawkins Market, Ryan’s of Wooster, and Wayne County Care Center. Sandra married Harold Dee Fitzpatrick on August 29, 1977 in Smithville OH and he survives.
They became a blended family of seven children, Sharon (Hall) Wells (Wayne Wells) of Orland, IN., Jerry Fitzpatrick of Wooster, Kathleen Hall of Creston, Penny (Fitzpatrick) Siegel (Mike Siegel – deceased) of Wooster, Jeffrey Hall of Shreve, Michael Fitzpatrick of Wasilla, AK, and Linda Fitzpatrick (Miguel Perdomo) of Graham, WA. She was a Grandmother to 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 1 on the way. Also surviving are her sisters, Susan (Morrison) Yund of Wooster and Carole (Morrison) Moser of Shreve; brother-in-law, Ralph Riggenbach of Keller, TX, and sister-in-law Dawn Ann Morrison of Wadsworth and many special cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings infant sister Janet, Beverly (Morrison) Riggenbach, Roger Morrison, Philip Morrison, and brother-in-law Ron Moser.
The family wishes to thank the 5400 floor staff and nurses of Akron General Hospital, TCU of Wooster Hospital, LifeCare Hospice of Wooster, and a special thank you to Doctor Carolyn Graham and staff. We also wish to thank her Cousin, Bernice Ecker, for all her time spent by her side at the hospital throughout her illness.
Sandra will be missed by all that knew her especially her family.
Friends may call Sunday, May 26th from 4-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. A graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Wooster Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 or to Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
