Sam S. Zito

Sam S. Zito, 70, of Marshallville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Sam was born April 20, 1951 in Cleveland and was the son of John and Lena (Mercurio) Zito.  He was a 1969 graduate of Revere High School and he retired from Ohio Edison after 43 years of service.  Sam loved horse racing and was a member of the Horse racing Assoc. of America.

Surviving is his wife, Lori (Markley) Zito; his seven children, Jaime Zito of Lakewood, Rory Zito and  Adam Zito both of Seville, Erin Zito of Creston, and Kailee Zito, Kairalee Zito and Mario Zito all of Marshallville; 3 grandchildren, Myles Thompson, Veda Kelley and Layne Napier; and brothers and sisters, Michael Cancasci, Charlene Cancasci, Linda McCay, John Zito, Dana Bullock and David Zito.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Arnold.

Private family services will be held Sunday, Jan. 16th at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Father Richard Samide officiating.  Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
