Ruth Ann Ponsford

Ruth Ann Ponsford, 66, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton after a period of declining health.

Ruth was born in Cleveland on Dec. 29, 1956 to Charles and Rosemary (Filidoro) Young and graduated from Medina High School.  She enjoyed coloring, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Channel 8 News.

Surviving are her children, Lynn Tanner of Wooster, Thomas (Dorothy) Severs of Shreve and Timothy Severs of Barberton; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joseph Young and her husband, Dale Ponsford.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
