Ruth J. (Baughman) Marhefka

Ruth J. Marhefka, 90, of Burbank, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022 at Burbank Parke after a brief illness.

Ruth was born near Smithville on March 14, 1932 to the late Harry and Laura (Gamber) Baughman and attended Smithville High School.  She had worked as a hairdresser in Sterling and in Canton for over 50 years and had made her home in the Sterling, Canton, Green and Burbank areas.  She had been an avid bowler and traveler and was a member of the Eagles in Canton,

Surviving are children, Lillian (Phil) Dyck of Kentucky and  Edwin “Eddie” (Tammy) Rastorfer of Polk; son-in-law, Ronald Harmon of Burbank;  10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandsons and a sister, Leah Erhmontrout of Akron and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Desmond Ward and Michael Marhefka; daughter, Dora Harmon; brothers and sisters, George, Joe, Alfred, Shirley, Lydia, Ivy, Dorothy, Levina, Regina, Stephen, Jean and Robert.
