Russell Ray Sigler

Russell R. Sigler, 86, of Medina died Monday, July 26, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Medina after a period of declining health.

Russ was born on January 22, 1935 in Creston and was the youngest child of William Edward and Shirley (Harvey) Sigler.  He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army having served from Dec. 31, 1954 – Dec. 10, 1957.  Russ retired from Owens Corning in Medina and had made his home in the Medina and Creston areas most of his life.

Surviving are his sons, Jesse Sigler and Russell (Mary Sigler both of Douglasville, GA and Todd (Kim) Sigler of Medina; grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Hillary, Sydney, Brieann, Madison and Jamie; two great-grandchildren, Michaela and Vivian and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Eaken) Sigler in 1997, a son, Chris Sigler in 2020, daughter-in-law, Connie Sigler, his parents and 10 brothers and sisters, Woodrow, Charles, Robert, William, Gerald, Kenneth and Eugene Sigler, Virginia Baker, Annabelle Ferguson and Caroline Nalley.

Services will be Friday, July 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends will be received one hour prior to services.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com   Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
