Ronald J. Harmon

Ronald J. Harmon, 71, of Burbank, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at Grace House in Akron from cancer.

Ron was born in Wooster on Aug. 13, 1953 to Walter Leroy and Evelyn Chloe (Swain) Harmon and was a 1971 graduate of Wooster High School.  On Sept. 2, 1972 he married Dora Lee Rastorfer and she preceded him in death on April 10, 2018.  Ron had been a truck driver having retired from Case Farms in 2019. He had previously worked for Metcalf Trucking and Wooster Equity.  He was an avid bowler and had enjoyed riding motorcycles. He loved sports, especially football, and was a die-hard Browns and Ohio State Fan.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-laws, Brian and Tracy Harmon of Smithville and Christopher and Lindsey Harmon of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, Kylee, Tyler, Garret, Brooke, Brock and Lola; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Whyatt and Spencer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Barb Harmon of Smithville, Kenneth and Flo Harmon of Shreve and Richard and Julie Harmon of Tucson, AZ and a sister, Patricia Olson of Tavares, FL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; his parents; brother, Robert Harmon; sister, Louise McKee and infant sisters, Ruth Ann and Martha.

At Ron's request, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace House, 475 N. Howard St., Akron, OH 44310.
