Roberta Ann Kelly

Roberta Ann Kelly, 86, of Wadsworth, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at Akron General Medical Center.

Roberta was born in Wadsworth on June 4, 1936 to the late Dale R. and Roberta L. (Klase) Morrison and was a 1954 graduate of Wadsworth High School.  On Aug. 4, 1953 she married James A. Kelly and he survives.  Roberta worked for Wadsworth Schools having been a bus driver for 30 years and had also taught Drivers Education.  She was a longtime member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seville where she had taught Sunday School and she had enjoyed collecting glassware and playing cards.

Surviving is her husband, James; children and their spouses, Nancy and Jim Sanburg of Loveland, CO and James and Linda Kelly of Creston; grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica) Crabtree, Kelly Sanburg and Matthew (Gracie) Kelly; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Crabtree and sisters and brothers-in-law, Sally Porter and Kay and Gary Rasor of Wadsworth and Debbie (Mike) Gurich of South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Crabtree, a grandson, Michael Kelly and a sister, Virginia Zurbach.

Private family services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth with Rev. Bruce Sparks officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 408 Ninth St., SW, Suite 3400, Canton, OH 44707
