Robert A. Wengerd

Robert A. Wengerd, 84, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday evening, Aug. 20, 2019 at Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg following a lengthy illness.

Robert was born Nov. 9, 1934 in Holmes County to the late Andy and Emma (Hostetler) Wengerd and married Lizzie Raber on April 26, 1962.  She preceded him in death on May 21, 2012.  He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are his children, Owen (Svetlana) Wengerd of Brandon, FL and Betty Ann (Jason) Bales of Shreve; grandchildren, Chad Bayless, Cameron Wengerd, Nicholas Wengerd, Nathan Wengerd and Emily (Brandon) Ayers and a sister, Anna Gleim of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, 4 sisters, Ella Yoder, Mary Wengerd, Mattie Wengerd and Malinda Raber and 2 brothers, Dan Wengerd and John Wengerd.

Services will be Friday, August 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Leroy Burkholder residence, 7945 Fredericksburg Rd., Fredericksburg with Bishop John M. Yoder officiating.  Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery, Salt Creek Twp., Wayne County.  Friends may call anytime after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Burkholder residence.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
