Robert B. Ripley

Robert B. Ripley, 79, of Creston, died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at Medina Hospital after a lengthy illness. Bob was born in Creston on April 20, 1937 to the late Lyle and Josephine (Meliers) Ripley and married the former Eleanor “Elly” Jones on Dec. 22, 1956 who survives. He established Accurate Office Equipment in 1965 which he operated until 1999 in Wadsworth at which time he established Pro Office which he continued to operate in his retirement. He had also operated the family business, Ripley Printing until 1978. Bob built the family home having been a resident of Creston all of his life and could fix and repair anything. He was a member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224 and enjoyed cars and motorcycles. Surviving are his wife Elly, daughters, Theresa (Joe) Click of Creston, Cindy (Mike) Demiter of Wadsworth and Darlene (Tom) Figura of Rittman; 8 grandchildren, Maria Click, Monica Click, Jennifer Henthorn, Elizabeth Demiter, Aleah Coats, Ethan Demiter, Tiffany Figura and T.J. Figura; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Anna and Avery Henthorn and Mason, Emmett and Gavin Coates and nieces and nephews. A brother, Kent preceded him in death. Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
