Robert McKinley Reed, 84, of Burbank, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, and is now home with his Lord and Savior.

Bob was born on Sept 9, 1941, to Kenneth and Opal (Condry) Reed and had made his home in Burbank all his life. He graduated from Norwayne High School in 1959 and on Aug. 20, 1960, he married the love of his life, Judy Mae Boyes. Bob had worked at the PCA in Rittman, at Sears, Ruffner’s in Rittman and Martin Interiors in Wooster before starting his own business, Robert Reed Remodeling and New. He had also been in business with his longtime friend, Elmer Gasser and their business was Sunrise Remodeling and New.

Bob was a faithful member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the Seville Masonic Lodge 74 F.&A.M. and was a member and Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star. Active in the Burbank and Norwayne Community, Bob helped plan and build the Weekday Religious Education Building. In 2017 he was honored as a Creston Citizen of the Year for his service to the community. Bob enjoyed playing golf, fishing and mowing yards. He and Judy traveled on the Gold Wing Motorcycle, and they enjoyed wintering the in Bradenton/Sarasota, Florida area. Bob loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting activities and will be remembered for his faithful service to his family, his community and his Lord.

Surviving is his wife, Judy; his children and their spouses, Liane and Craig Buckingham of Columbus, Lisa and Gene Piatt of Creston and Doug and Kim Reed of Creston; his grandchildren, Joshua Buckingham, Kaitlynn and her husband Jeff Romanello, Justin Piatt, Robert “Drew” Reed and his fiancée’ Jordyn, Chad and his wife Natalie Reed and Devin Reed; 4 great-grandchildren, Brennan Piatt, Audrey, and Mallory Romanello and Rosalie Reed and one on the way; his brothers and sisters, Bert Reed of Burbank, Bill and his wife Martha Reed of Barberton, Virginia Crow of Lexington and Sharon Bauman of Jeromesville and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sheila Valentine.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Taylor and Rev. Larry Rickey officiating. Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 167, Creston, OH 44217. Murray Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
