Robert E. Moran, Sr.

Robert E. Moran, Sr. 81, of Columbia Station and formerly of Burbank, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 after a period of declining health.

Bob was born Aug 8, 1940 in Morgantown, WV to the late Fay and Mabel (Everly) Moran.  On April 16, 1979 he married Chrystaleen “Midge” Cunningham Yost and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2020.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 – 1962 and had worked as a mechanic and as a truck driver for Detroit-Pittsburg Motor Freight.  He enjoyed attending auctions and set up at flea markets which he and Midge did for many years.

Surviving are children, Susan (Mark) Mayer of Brunswick, Mary (Dave) Yost of Columbia Station, Kimberly (Brett) Berkley Fairview Park, Robert Jr. (Peggy) Moran of West Salem, Jackie (Rick) Jarvis of Florida, Jeff (Terry) Moran of Burbank and Susie (Bob) Simms of Wooster; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren;

He was preceded in death by his wife, Midge and brothers, Fay Jr. and Jerry Moran.

Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, Nov. 19th at 10:45 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
