Rev. Robert C. Moeller

Robert C. Moeller, 81 went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday February 21st, 2023 at his home in Sterling, Ohio after a period of declining health.

He was born on March 16th, 1941 in Johnstown, PA to Rudolph Theodore and Daisy Esther (Tiffany) Moeller.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Donna Jean (Boyer) Moeller, his son Jonathan (Cynthia) and grandsons Jason, Jared, and Justin of Sterling, Ohio, his daughter-in-law Stephanie King Moeller and granddaughter Alexandria of Jacobsburg, Ohio.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law Billy Figert, sister-in-law Bonnie Moeller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Theodore and Kenneth (Violet); sisters Mary Louise (Ernie) Ringler, Florence Figert, and Esther; sons Mark Alan and David Paul and grandson Paul Alexander.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Grace College in 1964 and his Master of Divinity from Grace Seminary in 1967. From 1966-1971 he pastored 2 churches in Indiana.  He was Chaplain-Administrator of Grace Brethren Village in Englewood, Ohio from 1971 to 1974. He then served as Pastor in Grace Brethren Churches in Alto, Michigan and Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He Pastored at Sterling Grace Brethren Church in Ohio for 19 years before retiring in 2003.  He assisted at the Creston Salvation Army Food Bank for many years and in his free time he enjoyed computers, fishing, jokes and doing magic tricks for children.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 25th at 2 pm at Imhoff Cemetery in Ashland, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 18th at 11 a.m. at Orrville Grace Brethren Church, 2200 Paradise Rd., Orrville.  Guests may call on the family Friday, March 17th from 6-8 pm or 1 hour before services at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare at 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, OH, 44691. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangement
