Robert Lee Mccune Sr.

Robert L. McCune, 85, of Wooster, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 25, 2020 after a period of declining health.

He was born Nov. 2, 1934 in Ravenswood, WV to the late Kale and Minnie (Starcher) McCune and married the former Lorena Mae Lemon on Jan. 10, 1959 who survives.  He retired from Techni-Cast in 1996 after 23 years of service.  Bob had made his home on Canaan Center Road for the past 47 years and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.  He is remembered for his love of grandchildren and family and for being a happy-go-lucky guy who will be missed.

Surviving are his wife, Lorena; sons Robert Lee McCune Jr., Billy Joe McCune and Michael Wayne (Kathy) McCune all of Wooster and Scott Allen (Deana) McCune of Creston; 7 grandchildren, Barbara Ba., Ashley Jenkins, Michael Jr., Regan, Colline, Trent and Garrett McCune; 3 great-grandchildren, Alienna, Arianna and Chelsie; brothers and sister, Homer Nelson of West Virginia, Velma McCune of Sandyville, WV, Delmer McCune of Alaska and Donald McCune of Colorado and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina McCune in 2019, brothers, Kale Jr. and James William and sisters, Rebeka, Mary Anne and Frances.

Services will be Wednesday, April 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of LifeCare Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to Bob and the family.
