Robert Craig Hearn

Robert Craig Hearn, 64, of Creston, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023 after a declining illness.

Bob was born on April 19, 1959 in Pasadena, CA and was the son of the late Jerry Hearn and Linda Joyce Green.  He graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 1977 and worked at Safe-N-Sound Security Company in Millersburg.  On Sept. 8, 2019 he married Rhonda Sue Gerber who he had shared the past 10 years with and she lovingly cared for him at home over the past several months.  Bob enjoyed cooking, gardening, caring for his house plants, fishing and golfing.  He loved sports and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Surviving is his wife, Rhonda; his children that he loved, Bobby Hearn, Allison Hearn, Danielle Hearn and Nick Hearn; his step-daughter, Ericka Hoyle; Rhonda’s daughters who he loved, Tammy Gerber, Jessica Webb and Laura Webb;  13 grandchildren including grandson Grayson and step-grandchildren, Sophia and Joey; a brother, Tim Eddy and sisters, Michelle Northern, Jennifer Eddy and Melissa Eddy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Joyce Eddy, his father, and a brother, Earl Eddy.

Services will be Saturday, Sept. 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with his cousin, Jim Dirks officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with Bob’s final expenses.

In honor of Bob’ loved for sports, please celebrate his life by wearing something sports related or something casual.
