Robert H. Cool

Robert H. Cool, 78, of Creston, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman after a lengthy illness.

Bob was born. On Dec. 2, 1946, in Webster Springs, WV to Foster and Lydia (Brooks) Cool. He worked at Permold in Medina and also at 84 Lumber in Seville and was a member of Creston Moose Lodge. Bob enjoyed doing woodworking, going to car shows and doing karate and kick boxing. Bob was often called, “Karate Bob”.

Surviving is his companion of 19 years and the love of his life, Becky Hooser Olp; his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lida Cool of Wooster and Robert Jr. and Jaime Cool of Lenoir, NC; a daughter, Cynthia Cool of West Virginia; 4 grandchildren; Becky’s sons and wives, Adam and Katie Olp, Aaron and Jessica Olp and Andrew and Tatiana Olp; 9 step-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Carvil and Sally Cool of Seville.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ray, Roy and Marvin and sisters, Ireda Dunkley, Shirley Adams and Irene Taylor.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery with Jerry Hackworth officiating. There will be no calling hours.
